Cat for Adoption

Beautiful beautiful beautiful beautiful beautiful

I have had quite a lot happen to me in a short period! I was apparently originally adopted as a kitten, where my family were barn cats out in the country. The person who had adopted me later moved, so I stayed behind in the home out in the country, and the new occupant looked after me.

However, one day, something really terrible happened to me out there. The occupant contacted my original adopter, who drove hours to pick me up and rush me to the hospital for emergency vet care. For the following three days, I underwent facial reconstructive surgery. According to the vet, a blunt object had been used on one side of my face, and broke many of my bones and ruptured my eye. My eye had to be removed, so I only have one eye now.

I had almost died from my injuries. After the hospital stay, I went to stay in another home to recuperate - where I happily became an indoor-only cat. However, because I had never been spayed, I started peeing outside the litterbox. The people looking after me no longer wanted to keep me, so they were going to euthanize me. That's when Hungry and Homeless Cat Rescue came along. I was rescued yet a third time - this time from euthanization. A foster home was found for me, and here I am! (Everyone hopes that I still have most of my "9-lives" left!)

I was re-named "Beautiful" by the Rescue, because my original adopter told me everyday while I was in the hospital - that I was "beautiful". It was her wish that wherever I ended up, I would hear this everyday. So that's how I got the name "Beautiful" - as a promise to my rescuer and because I really am beautiful - inside and out!

I am an affectionate, sweet-natured 2-year old female. I purr all the time and always seem happy and content. The vets are always surprised to see what a sweet girl I am, despite what was done to me.

Unfortunately, during my many check-ups at the vet, it was noticed that I had an infection in the eye that was removed, so I required yet a second (corrective) surgery to that eye. I was also spayed at the time of the second eye surgery. This was all done after I had received my vaccines & booster + antibiotics, and was strong and well enough for the two operations. I am now well on the road to recovery and all up to date with vaccines and ready for my permanent home!

I am a super sweet affectionate girl. I am a cuddly lap kitty, who would love a permanent home where I will shower you with my purrs of gratitude and affection. I hope you will think I am as "Beautiful" as the vets and my fosters believe I am, and will want to give me a permanent home and protect me from ever being hurt again....
