Cat for Adoption

Flower Garden Family flower garden calla flower garden

I gave birth to this litter of kittens in a flower garden at a Montessori School. The young children there first noticed my kittens in the flower bed, so that is how we got our names! Little FERN was the first kitten that was found and brought inside by one of the young students. Thankfully, not long afterwards, I came in as well,  along with my remaining two kittens, CLOVER & POPPY. We were brought in by an independent rescuer, who had been worried about me, as she had already seen me have a previous litter and had already rescued those kittens. She knew that the only way to put an end to this cycle was to bring me in, so here we are! We were transferred from the intake foster home to our current foster home, where there are other cats which we are great with. My kittens are fine around young children, as children were in both foster homes and at the school where they were born. I am a little more timid, so  not as comfortable around children's sudden movements and loud noises! We would love to be adopted in pairs. FERN is his momma's boy, so I would be happy to be adopted with him. CLOVER and  POPPY would also make a good pair as they are very bonded. Alternatively, if someone wanted two females, POPPY and I would also make a great pair! Here's some additional info on our little family:

CALLA: I am a petite young teenage mom - already on my 2nd or 3rd litter, and just barely a year old....  I am a little shy around people, so my adopter will need to be very patient with me. But despite being a young mom, I am an excellent mother;  very attentive and protective of my kittens. I am spayed and vaccinated, and tested negative for Feline Leukemia and FIV.

FERN: I am a little mommie's boy and am quite bonded to my mom. I am very sweet and cuddly. As soon as I see a lap, I want to snuggle up on it. I'm the only one of the kittens with a few brown stripes on my head - I have my some of my mom's colouring. I am a very sweet playful kitten.

CLOVER: I am the biggest of the kittens. I am very sweet and adorable - the big clumsy gentle goof! I seem to trip a lot, compared to my tiny sister POPPY. I try and keep up with her, but always end up running into things or falling off something. I am also Mr. Mischief - I love to sneak up on my siblings and then pounce on them!

POPPY: I am a sweet little playful female kitten. I am the smallest of the siblings - most likely the runt. I am a little huntress - extremely fast and agile. I like to wrestle with my brothers and I chase everything in sight. I am the little trouble-maker - the first one to tackle my brothers and start a wrestling match. I am also the most independent of the kittens. I would love to be adopted with my brother CLOVER or my mom CALLA.

** ADDITIONAL STORY** CALLA went into heat while she was still nursing her kittens, and an un-neutered male tom cat started coming around.... He got pretty aggressive and brazen, and started annoying poor TOBI inside his own home. TOBI, who was trying to protect CALLA and the kittens, ended up sneaking outside into the backyard, and then had a terrible afternoon of being chased around in his backyard by the relentless aggressive tom cat. His family were finally able to get the tom cat away from TOBI and bring TOBI back inside. This is what TOBI looked like after his exhausting afternoon escapade with the persistent tom....!
