Cat for Adoption

Rosso rosso rosso

I am a small 6-month old abandoned kitten with a big story. I just popped up one day at my rescuer's house. No one knows where I came from. At first I was very shy, but I soon trusted my rescuer and became very social and friendly with her. I obviously had a home at some point, however someone must have dumped me outside for whatever reason, since no one responded to the "Found" ads for me. I was taken to the vet and scanned for a microchip, but did not have one. My rescuer saved my life!  She fed me and kept me safe while I was outside. It took a while to get me in - due to logistical challenges. My rescuer brought me inside several times, before I was finally able to make it to the vet. (Each time I came in, there were no appointments available for me, or no one was available to bring me to the vet, or I came in at the wrong time and then was out when I should have been in.) I had many adventures with my rescuer during this time. I would follow her around the neighbourhood as soon as I saw her walking outside. After she brought me inside a couple of times, I figured out where she lived and how to get inside on my own. I surprised her a few times by just popping into her home unannounced! I loved being inside her house - there was always lots of yummy food for me to eat, tons of toys to play with, and soft beds and laps to lay on and snuggle up with. After a meal inside, I always enjoyed a long snooze - where I could sleep without fear of being attacked by other cats.

Being the bold, fearless adventuresome kitten that I am, on one of my visits in my rescuer's home, I caused quite the stir. I got onto my rescuer's deck and suddenly decided to jump from the deck onto another deck, which belonged to another home. Unfortunately, I could not get back, as it was too far a jump back. No one was home at the other place, so Emergency Services had to be called - to rescue me from the roof / deck. My rescuer wanted to bring me inside permanently, as she saw that I was fearless and worried for my safety. Finally, it all worked, out, and I made it to the vet and to a foster home.

It is guessed that I slept in the bushes outside - judging by the amount of fleas and ticks that I was covered in. The ticks were removed, and I have been de-fleaed and de-wormed. I also received my first of vaccines. I will be going back to the vets in to be neutered and receive my booster vaccine.

I am a super handsome, sweet, cuddly purr-ball - your dream kitten. Because I was rescued near "little Italy" by an Italian rescuer, I was named "Rosso" - which means "red" in Italian. That is the colour that I am - a gorgeous orange / red striped tabby. I am extremely affectionate and love nothing more than to be held and cuddled. I purr VERY loudly and all the time - I am so happy to finally be warm and safe, and LOVED. I get along with all cats. I am totally non-aggressive and non-confrontational. I would love a permanent home - this time where I will not be thrown out into the streets again. In the short time that I was outside, I used up many of my nine lives, and am ready to have a stable permanent loving home - with lots of toys! I am very playful and very much enjoy playing with toys. Will you please adopt me?

Constellation Family

We are the "Constellation Family" because as in the Universe, we are all inter-connected. We are part of the Group of 40 kitten family rescued from outside. We are composed of two mothers and five kittens, and we all live together in an extended communal family.

Papa Picasso - I am the handsome father of the Constellation Kittens and husband to Bubbles. I am another one of the Group of 40 kitties (named after artists)  that was outside for a very long time. In fact, I was on the Urgent Need page of the website as the "striped gray tabby with the white tummy" needing to come inside. Unfortunately, my rescuers were not able to get me inside last winter, so I spent a very cold winter outside. I survived outside by snuggling and sleeping with Bubbles to keep warm. By the time Spring came around, Bubbles came into heat, and I fathered a few more kittens outside before we could be fixed. Thankfully we are inside now and I have been neutered, so no more kittens for us! I was very sick when I came inside. I had a bad inner ear infection, which affected my balance, and I was unable to walk straight for the first few days. In addition, I also had an allergic reaction to the anaesthetic used during my neuter surgery, so needless to say, I did not enjoy my trips to the vet. Because of this, I am still quite shy around people. Ideally, I would be adopted as a companion cat to a friendly, gentle cat. I get along great with other cats and need a very patient understanding adopter who understands that I need time to come around after everything I have been through (starvation outside, chased out of various people's gardens outside, almost getting hit by a car outside, beaten up by other cats, and then my traumatic vet visits....). I am a very handsome boy - which is why my kittens are so beautiful! I am a short-hair striped gray tabby - with a white tummy. It is believed that I was an abandoned cat, so if my adopter is patient with me, I will become an affectionate kitty. I have had all my vet care, and am now waiting for my permanent home or long-term foster home. Will you please give me a chance at finally having a little stability in my life? It will be so nice for me this winter -  not to freeze and starve outside, running around from place to place looking for food and shelter...... Thank you for considering me.
cat adoption ottawa bubbles Mama Bubbles - I am about 4 years old. I am a very beautiful fawn/ beige short-hair female, with beautiful green eyes. I have had too many litters of kittens, and my poor body is tired. I am glad to be inside, getting a regular supply of food, and no longer a baby-making machine for the tom cats. My rescuers are VERY happy that I am finally inside - it took them a long time to get me in, because I am so clever kept outsmarting them! Like other members of my family, I too have been named after artists - this time of a different genre - the "bubble making" artists.
cat adoption ottawa pearl Mama Pearl - I am the gorgeus, young, long-haired gray female. I have the most amazing two tones of gray - creating a very unique wide horizontal stripe up my the backside of my beautiful fluffy tail. I am very beautiful, and very timid. I am scared of everything, and don't like my picture taken, unless I can hide behind Bubbles. Bubbles and I are sharing the work with our kittens, although I have been doing most of the nursing lately.... I too have been named after Artists / Musicians.
Our kittens were named after various moons - hence our name - the "Constellation" Family
Phoebe *I have been adopted!* - light gray sister - also named after a Moon of Saturn. The name means radiant light - at dawn and moon. (Phoebe's colouring is like a mist at dawn.) *Update*: Phoebe is now 5.5 months old. She LOVES to play and is a very active kitten. She loves running around and chasing the lazer pointer and playing with her toys. She likes being picked up, cuddled and having her tummy rubbed - once she trusts you!
